The sector is attracting a broader range of investors, with global deal value rising 26% to US$169.6bn, fuelled by large-scale transactions. Meanwhile, deal volume dipped slightly by 4% to 528 deals.

Key Highlights (H1 2025)

  • Global M&A values surge: M&A volume declined by 4%, but values surge 26% to US$169.6bn.
  • Datacentres leap: Deal value jumped 76% YoY, reaching US$22bn.
  • Americas M&A growth: M&A up 8% in volume (303 deals) and 50% in value (US$119bn) in H1 2025.
  • Europe Digital Infra decline: M&A dropped 22% in volume (147 deals) and 54% in value (US$16bn) in H1 2025.
  • APAC volume decline, value surge: Deal volume in APAC dropped to 50, but value soared 75% to US$29.1bn.
